Stress Relief Made Simple

Month 4: Dr. Fran Pirozzolo

Welcome to month 4 of Stress Relief Made Simple!

Your expert interview for this month is with Fran Pirozzolo, one of the world’s leading experts on stress and performance.

A neuroscientist, Fran has held professorships at UCLA, the University of Minnesota, and Baylor College of Medicine.

Fran has worked hands-on with several professional golfers on the PGA tour, in the NFL with the Houston Texans, and with Major League Baseball organizations such as the Detroit Tigers, Texas Rangers, and Houston Astros.

Fran was also the Mental Skills Coach for the New York Yankees during their championship streak from 1996 to 2002, when the Yankees won 4 World Series.

In our interview, Fran explains how professional athletes use specific techniques to overcome performance anxiety and achieve their full potential.

Fran contends that almost all of the professional athletes’ abilities are learnable, so we can all benefit from the same approaches to stress relief and performance.
